August 18, 2004 POWELL, Ohio – Foor Concrete Company Inc., a full-service concrete construction company specializing in industrial, commercial, retail and institutional construction in central Ohio, was recently named a 2003 top 100 concrete company in the country by Concrete Construction magazine. Foor Concrete was also recognized as one of the nation’s fastest-growing concrete construction companies. At $7.4 million in 2003 revenues, Foor Concrete ranked 92 on the “Concrete Construction 100” list featured in the July issue. The list was determined by concrete revenue. Foor Concrete was the only central Ohio Company recognized. With a 57.7 percent increase above its prior year revenues, Foor Concrete was listed as the fifth fastest-growing concrete company in the country. “We take pride in having knowledgeable employees who understand the importance of high-quality workmanship,” said Archie Foor, Jr., president of Foor Concrete. “Making the Concrete Construction Top 100 for the second time in three years was a team effort. The majority of the company’s work was comprised of site work including curbs, gutters and sidewalks, and commercial slabs on grade and foundation, with a smaller number of cast-in-place, structural, above-grade commercial construction projects. Some recognizable projects by Foor Concrete include the footings, dock retaining walls, dock slabs, sidewalks and concrete paving for the Whitehall Target store and the parking garage at Brewers Gate Apartment Complex, which involved pouring more than 5,950 linear feet of footings.
